Vibe Health Lounge (San Luis Obispo, CA) has introduced a new treatment, The Third Eye Activation. The Third Eye Activation (90-minutes) combines sound and light technology with the Ayurvedic ritual of Shirodhara. Shirodhara is an ancient Indian treatment of slowly and steadily releasing warm herb-infused oil out of a hanging copper vessel onto the third eye (center of forehead). The oil gently drips off the forehead and collects into a basin. The benefits of Shirodhara include relieving stress and anxiety, reducing headaches, improving sleep quality, and awakening intuition.
The treatment begins with an opening ritual, stimulating the senses and guiding the nervous system to a deeper state of relaxation. The provider uses smoke of Palo Santo to clear the space and a hint of sound therapy using tuning forks, crystal bowls, or Tibetan chimes are grazed over the guest to release stagnant energy. That is followed by aromatherapy, breathwork, and a guided meditation ignites the body's parasympathetic state, allowing the body to rest and digest. Then the guest receives the benefits of warm oil flowing onto the forehead, working to unlock the mind, and release stress.
