In response to overwhelming demand from our members for information about the rapidly growing medical aesthetics field, SpaTrade has partnered with Aesthetic Trends & TechnologiesTM to introduce joint research and education initiatives. The rapidly growing physician journal provides content on cosmetic surgery, dermatology, anti-aging and medical aesthetics. "SpaTrade has been seeing an increasing number of physicians and estheticians registering at the site," says CEO Nancy Griffin. "This joint venture will allow us to expand on our expertise in spa development, spa management, and spa marketing with specific resources for these professional segments.The cornerstone of the partnership will be shared resources and content. "SpaTrade's research shows that an overwhelming majority of spa professionals feel under-educated regarding the issues associated with operating or working in a medical spa, says Nancy Griffin. "As one spa owner put it 'it's hard enough to catch up, let alone keep up.'"

ATnT will regularly contribute medical aesthetics content to SpaTrade's Knowledge Base. Specific topics include Laser and Light technology, trends in medical aesthetics, and the legal and liability issues of medical procedures.
Market Research Initiatives
SpaTrade will be launching several research projects in conjunction with ATnT and Feedback Research Services (www.feed-back.com). Feedback published the first research available on medical spas in the United States. On the agenda will be customized research and market reports for all segments of the spa industry.
Development of Esthetician-Only Resources
Estheticians aspire to perform more results-oriented treatments and learn about medical spa services, yet, there is no centralized resource available specifically for estheticians. Within the first quarter of 2005, SpaTrade will begin providing content for those estheticians embarking on a new career or teaming up with physicians.
