Cheers to Beers at a Denver Spa

My hometown, the Mile High City, is famous for a multitude of activities, some more wellness minded than others. On my last trip to Denver, I had the chance to immerse myself in one of its claims to fame, craft beers. Usually the idea of getting soaked with beer, even a high quality microbrew, is far from relaxing, but The Ritz-Carlton Spa, Denver made the sudsy experience luxurious, relaxing, and healing. The Mile High Malt Scrub and Microbrew Massage ($200, 75 minutes) quenches the thirst of all the senses with chilled microbrews to drink before and after the full-body exfoliation, scrub, Vichy shower, and moisturizing lotion application. Coinciding with the Great American Beer Festival in September, the spa introduced new beer-centered experiences. The "Cheers to Beers" package (starting at $439 per night) features the following for a blissful brew visit.

  • Stylish accommodations in newly renovated guest rooms, and the largest in downtown
  • 75 minute beer-infused treatment: choice of Mile High Malt Scrub and Microbrew Massage or Hops 'N Honey Ultimate Pedicure, both incorporating beers from the Great Divide Brewing Co.
  • Signature welcome amenity of The Ritz-Carlton, Denver; includes house made ballpark pretzels with beer mustard and a Hops 'N Honey bath ball
  • Suggested brewery guide

Does your spa incorporate indigenous ingredients like beer in its treatments?
