The spa therapist applies individual oils from Mexican wellness brand Agave Spa to each location on the body based on the oil’s intention. The wellness treatment starts with the spa’s Mayan welcome ceremony inspired by the Earth’s four elements of water, fire, earth, and air. It is then followed by aromatherapy according to the moon cycle, which changes four times per month.
Oils used include:
• Here and Now: This oil contains geranium and is used on the head to help guests understand that the moment is now.
• Love: Containing rosemary, jasmine, black pepper, and red pepper, this oil symbolizes goodness and compassion and is used on the chest and the heart.
• Passion: Made with cashmere wood and musk, this oil is used on the stomach.
• Prosperity: Used on the legs, this oil contains laurel and peppermint to help reduce fear, depression, and anxiety.
