The Spa at Four Seasons Resort Rancho Encantado Santa Fe Offers Winter Warming Ritual

The Spa at Four Seasons Resort Rancho Encantado Santa Fe (NM) introduced the Winter Warming Ritual ($325, 80 minutes), which is designed to help spa-goers relax and revitalize their skin. The treatment uses piñon pine, which is indigenous to the dry high deserts of New Mexico and the Southwest region, and is infused with the essences of wintergreen and lavender, creating a replenishing therapy for the body, mind, and spirit. Here, the spa shares a recipe for piñon pine-based body scrub and butter:

PIÑON PINE BODY SCRUB RECIPE

  • 1 tablespoon of piñon nuts
  • 2 drops of pine needle essential oil
  • 1 drop of lavender essential oil

Grind piñon nuts to a medium-fine consistency. Add two drops of pine needle essential oil followed by one drop of lavender essential oil and mix to a scrub consistency. Apply the scrub to the skin and exfoliate with light sweeping movements, then rinse.

PIÑON PINE BODY BUTTER RECIPE

  • 3 tablespoons of unscented body butter
  • 1 drop of pine needle essential oil
  • 1 drop of lavender essential oil

Mix three tablespoons of unscented body butter with one drop of pine needle essential oil and one drop of lavender essential oil. Blend essential oils with the body butter and apply to hydrate the skin.
