Although the predictions for viewing peak cherry blossoms in bloom have been pushed back until April 8, spa-goers can celebrate ahead of time with a special seasonal treatment at The Watergate Hotel’s Argentta Spa (Washington, DC).
The Cherry Blossom Ritual ($250, 90 minutes) and Cherry Blossom Mani/Pedi ($110), each of which comes with a cherry-infused cocktail, are inspired by the beautiful blooms that captivate locals and visitors alike each spring. Incorporating a full-body exfoliation with Red Flower’s Wild Cherry Blossom Rice Buff, the Cherry Blossom Ritual concludes with a hydrating massage. It’s certainly one way to initiate a spring awakening.
Guests can also experience the hotel’s Cherry Blossom Garden Globes, which feature a multi-sensory cherry blossom experience with waiter service and a curated food and beverage menu. From afternoon tea in a private globe or cherry-infused cocktails and desserts, the globes provide yet another way to celebrate the season.
Peak bloom dates are now scheduled to take place April 8-12.
