This Boutique Hotel is Bringing Wellness Travel to NYC

Hotel 48Lex is making it easy to stay healthy while on-the-go. The boutique, residential-style hotel located on the corner of 48th Street and Lexington Avenue in New York City has partnered with Routinely, an on-demand service for premium workout essentials, in addition to adding a number of new wellness amenities.

“Our goal is to create a guest experience that not only meets but exceeds every need,” says David Sandler, general manager at Hotel 48Lex. “Our guests’ wellbeing is our highest priority and our ever-expanding intuitive amenities are designed to improve upon that while giving them all the comforts and convenience of home with an elevated experience. From our private lounge with daily breakfast and modern afternoon tea to thoughtful wellness amenities and other unique touches, Hotel 48Lex offers a respite from the bustling Midtown below.”

The hotel’s new partnership with Routinely is perfect for guests who forgot to pack their fitness apparel. Routinely offers premium workout gear for both men and women. The kits come stocked with everything needed for an active getaway, right down to the sneaker.

In addition to the partnership, the hotel is now offering a number of new wellness amenities, including a “Race Day Fuel” spread featuring coffee, bottled water, whole fruits, and granola bars served in the guests-only lounge in the mornings before high-profile fitness events like the TCS New York City Marathon, the Empire State Building Run-Up, and the TD Five Boro Bike Race, among other events.

Other wellness-minded amenities include complimentary running and walking maps for exploring NYC by foot, exclusive access to wellness-centers located in close proximity to the hotel—including Brick Fitness and SoulCycle, and an on-request turndown service presented in partnership with Newby Teas that includes a sleepy time tea and tips on how to unwind and destress. Guests looking for a more luxurious retreat can indulge in The Penthouse Experience, during which guests of The Avenue and Lexington penthouses receive complimentary in-room spa products, a private healthy dinner for two, fresh pressed juices from Lexington Brass, and two spa treatments at the nearby Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa.

In-room wellness is also available for guests of Hotel 48Lex’s Central, Master, and Penthouse suites with the hotel’s Mix + Mask Spa Mini Bar. Guests can relax in their suite and treat themselves to 24 karat gold-infused masks from Knesko, facial products from Malin + Goetz, and an essential shaving kit from The Art of Shaving, all while sipping on simple cocktail mixers from W&P Design. The program offers three mixers to choose from—old fashioned cocktail syrup, spicy margarita cocktail syrup, and Moscow Mule cocktail syrup. Guests can then simply add their alcohol of choice and begin treating themselves to a luxury spa treatment from the comfort of their own room.
