Four Ways Wellness Can Help During Mercury’s Retrograde

People tend to go into a frenzy when they hear Mercury will be in retrograde, since it is believed to cause extreme emotional highs and lows, miscommunications, and malfunctions. Don’t worry, though, because the perfect tactic to combat any retrograde effect is self-care, either at home or in a spa. Veljko Savic, spa director of the Coronado Island Marriott Resort & Spa (CA) offered us suggestions for professional spa treatments and at-home remedies perfect for combatting retrograde impacts, just in time for the next celestial event, which will be July 7-August.

Miscommunication: Conversations become more difficult during Mercury’s retrograde, resulting in conflicts in relationships. To tackle these issues, look for ways to bond and spend quality time with your partner.

  • Spa Fix:  A couple’s massage treatment, which promotes togetherness and is a great way to bond. 
  • Home Fix: Try to plan a romantic date night, complete with candles, music, and maybe a DIY massage.

Emotional distress and Restlessness: The conflicts that arise from Mercury moving backwards can cause stress and anxiety. For this, Savic recommends time to “turn off” the mind with the help of aromatic smells.
