Skincare Expert Shares a Step-by-Step Technique to Improve Circulation

Skincare expert Olga Parno, founder of Masktini, shares her simple lymphatic drainage massage technique to help aid with lymphatic drainage, get rid of excess fluid retention, and boost circulation. The massage helps contour cheeks, mitigate double chins, and improve circulation and tone.

  1. Focus on the neck and head area to help relieve any headaches, congestion, and puffiness.
  2. Apply an anti-aging and plumping moisturizer to the hands.
  3. Find the venous angle (interior notch of the collar bone), and start with the neck to get the fluid moving. It will cause a suction as you move up.
  4. Move downward on the neck using slow light pressure on the side of the neck/downward motion. At this point, you might start feeling drainage in the throat and might need to take a sip of water or tea. That’s normal.
  5. For the back of the neck movement, use thumbs in a cupping position to help relieve neck tension.
  6. Apply circular pulses starting from the temples and go around the eye area to relieve pressure and puffiness around the eyes.
  7. Apply pulses in the nasolabial area to help with sinus drainage and improve breathing.
  8. All the steps should be repeated back to encourage proper drainage.
