The Spa at JW Chicago at the JW Marriott Chicago has a reimagined fitness center that features cutting-edge equipment and an array of group fitness classes in partnership with Emily Hutchins, one of Chicago’s most sought-after fitness professionals. The new fitness program launches Jan. 2, 2024. Dedicated to elevating the wellbeing of guests and local members, The Spa at JW Chicago’s Fitness Center has undergone a transformative upgrade to accommodate Hutchins’ unique training style. The facility will feature artificial turf, training sleds, and CrossFit-style equipment, as well as a meticulously curated selection of state-of-the-art equipment, including rowers, chest presses, kettlebells, lat pulldowns, free weights, Smith machines, shoulder presses, leg curls, leg extensions, and more.

"I am incredibly excited to join forces with JW Chicago to revolutionize their fitness program and provide a unique, results-driven experience for their members,” says Hutchins. “Together, we'll define a new standard of excellence in fitness, igniting passion and transforming lives along the way!”

The Spa at JW Chicago offers various group fitness classes, including yoga flow, athletic yoga, yoga strength, boxing, and HIIT. Additionally, Hutchins will be leading four new dynamic group fitness classes:

  • Bodyweight: Master the art of effective movement by using your own body weight, engaging the entire body in a three-dimensional workout.

  • Strength: Tailored for hypertrophy and increased muscle size, this class emphasizes heavy volume and programming, with a strict focus on form and technique.

  • Endurance Lift: Experience a unique burn through the use of body weights and light weights with high repetitions.

  • Run: This treadmill workout class features low to high-intensity intervals, with a significant emphasis on running form and economy, engineered to build aerobic foundations and burn calories.
