The St. Regis Punta Mita Offers SurfFit Class

The St. Regis Punta Mita Resort (Mexico) is offering a new fitness class: SurfFit. Each session takes place on a surfboard and simulates the instability of the sea, offering a physical and mental workout. The design of the SurfFit board mirrors basic exercises such as squats, planks, and the warrior pose. The class is ideal for people who have never surfed before, or for an in-depth training that allows experienced surfers to go out to the sea with greater strength and confidence. It is a 45-minute class for all types of surfers to train their body and mind, while incorporating movements from yoga, Pilates, and swimming, and balancing exercises that that mimic those done while surfing in the sea. The class aims to improve overall fitness, breathing, flexibility, and core strength for the surfer’s athletic physique.
