3 Ways Valentine's Day Can Create Repeat Clientele

It's no secret that Valentine's Day is a big revenue booster for the spa and wellness industry. Whether your spa is offering new packages, couples treatments, special deals, or more, there are plenty of ways to get new clients and repeat guests through your doors. But how can Valentine's Day revenue ripple throughout the year? It's easily achieved, according to Guy Weismantel, senior vice president of marketing at Zenoti, a cloud-based software for spas, salons, and medical spas.

"We see a lot of couples and first-time customers using spas and salons as part of a gift or package in February," says Weismantel. "Making sure they have a great experience during Valentine's can help create repeat customers throughout the year."

Here are three ways Weismantel suggests you can an impact clients this Valentine's Day season:

  • Custom Gift Card Options: Finding the right gift is easy when you have the flexibility of a gift card. Unique promotional offers combined with options for customers to customize dollar amounts and service bundles allows guests the freedom to personalize a gift for their loved one.

  • Unexpected Bonuses: Stand out from competitors by showcasing your add-ons or products with a special deal just for your new clients. According to a study from Blackhawk Network, 59 percent of gift card users spend more than the card's value, so this is a great opportunity for a new guest to feel extra special by trying an add-on service they may not have tried at full price.

  • Easy Booking Processes: Zenoti research says that 29 percent of first-time guests book their first appointment online, and 66 percent of salon and spa visits booked online are identical to a customer's previous visit. The pampering doesn't have to end with Valentine's Day: a gift card gets them in the door, and a seamless online booking experience will provide the right tools to keep new guests coming back for more.
