ASTECC Launches Spa Wellness Coaching Course

A longtime provider or post-graduate wellness training, ASTECC has launched a wellness coaching course for estheticians, massage therapists, and other wellness professionals. The program, called Spa Wellness Coaching, features a 12-week curriculum that covers hydrotherapy, thalassotherapy, constitutional body typing, transdermal nutrition, and stress-management techniques. Students will also learn both how to deliver individualized client programs online and practical skills that will help them build their own coaching businesses. The course includes weekly Zoom check-ins with each practitioner. While the program was set to be released in 2021, ASTECC decided to launch it early due to several events, such as the COVID-19 pandemic. The first 12 week-course began on April 20, 2020 with 24 participants. 60 percent of those students went on to enroll in a six-month Program Development Mastermind Course. After wrapping up a second 12-week course, the third round began on July 22.

Spa Wellness Coaching was created by Leah Carver, the daughter of ASTECC founder Anna Bramham. Carver, after building an impressive resume as an educator and spa and yoga studio owner over the course of 20 years, began focusing on helping other wellness entrepreneurs build their businesses. After being diagnosed with an autoimmune disease, Carver realized how important spa therapies can be to improve overall wellness in individuals. “Throughout my autoimmune journey, my ASTECC knowledge has sustained me, physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually—as well as financially,” says Carver. “When I could no longer do hands on all day. I began to work with my clients online to help them develop practices and lifestyle and business that would support their well-being. Completing the Spa Wellness Coaching course gives practitioners the tools to help people with health and personal issues during these challenging times. I believe this is essential to bring forth in this time. The body responds to life’s events—it is our unwritten diary. The path to wellness begins with embracing the body’s messages.”
