Lycored Partners with Local Food Bank to Give Back to Community

Lycored, an ingestible beauty and wellness company, is partnering with Food4Hungry.org, the food bank for Monterey County, CA, to deliver up to 10,000 meals and letters of love to elderly and homeless people in need with the launch of its new Letters to a Stranger initiative.

With every letter submitted, Lycored will include a nutritious meal, which includes fresh fruits and vegetables, for the letter’s recipient. The cards and meals will be available through the Food4Hungry.org drive-thru pantries.

“In everything we do, Lycored is dedicated to nourishing, balancing and sustaining wellness, and to doing social good,” says Zev Ziegler, head of global brand and marketing health at Lycored. “They say a stranger is just a friend you haven’t met yet, and that’s never been more true. With so many of us currently isolated from each other, it’s important to find new ways to connect, even if only virtually. This is a time for people across the world to reflect on what joins us together and we want the whole industry to join us.”

In the schools Food4Hungry.org serves, 90 percent of the children live in poverty. This program ensures that the children in these schools receive the nutrients they require for normal growth and development. In addition, 20 percent of the communities served suffer from both short- and long-term costs of hunger, including development and life-threatening chronic health problems as well as the medical expenses incurred.

Lycored and Food4Hungry.org are giving back by providing connection during a time that we must all be socially distant. Visit  www.littleglowapp.com  to submit a digital letter.
