Phytomer Launches Spa Safety Training Program

In addition to government guidelines, many industry organizations and companies have released their own to help spa owners devise prudent reopening plans amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Recently, Phytomer Corporation has not only released its own guide, but has also launched both a training program and a communication package, which arm spa owners, operators, and service providers with the best practices for creating a safe wellness environment for their employees and guests.

The course provides information on implementing these new sanitation standards, as well as the psychological aspects of returning to the spa after the recent crisis. In addition to providing concepts, signage, scripting, and tools, marketing packages feature practical and effective ways to communicate these changes, ensuring the peace of mind of guests as they consider or begin to return. With more than 50 years of combined experience in the spa and wellness industry, Angela Eriksen, Phytomer’s director of education and marketing, and Angela McElroy, a national Phytomer educator, licensed massage therapist, and master esthetician, worked together to develop the comprehensive program.
