Three Benefits of Mobile Training Your Staff

While many wellness enthusiasts are turning to smartphone applications to get them into shape, apps can also be used as an educational tool to train staff. Here, Sam Caucci, CEO and founder of the mobile-training gaming platform, 1HUDDLE, offers tips on the benefits of mobile training.

Tip #1: Improves cross-training across the property. Mobile technology allows for all training to be done while on the go, anytime and anywhere. It makes it easier to scale training across different departments and roles. 

Tip #2: Onboards and upskills faster. In an environment where product and promotions change rapidly, spas need to embrace technology to find faster ways to onboard and upskill their employees. Training employees wherever they are, which is what mobile allows us to do today, gives us the opportunity to take advantage of the two- to three-minute window in an employee’s day where instead of playing on social media or texting, they can be accessing information that trains them better. This reduces the cost of training, because it takes less time and resources to get an employee ready to work.

Tip #3: Increases employee retention. Implementing this type of technology means employees not only build a better community within their company and get to know each other better but they also feel more prepared at work, too. When you feel more prepared at work, the result is prouder and more confident employees.
