DIY: The Hops & Barley Body Polish from The Lodge at Woodloch Spa

The Renew and Brew Body Polish ($215, 75 minutes) at The Lodge at Woodloch Spa (Hawley, PA), which was inspired by Dogfish Head Biere de Provence, is a smoothing body exfoliation treatment that blends essential oils of lavender and marjoram with hops and barley to brighten the skin. The treatment uses a pearlized barley scrub made in-house with dried hops from the garden. It also includes a relaxing massage and a beer post-treatment. Hops & Barley Body Polish

INGREDIENTS:

  • ½ cup of fine sea salt

  • ¼ cup oil of choice (coconut, grapeseed, olive) 

  • 1 tsp of barley 

  • 1 tsp of dried hops 

  • 1 tbsp of honey 

STEPS:

  1. Grind barley in a coffee grinder.  

  2. Mix all ingredients together, and gently apply to body in a circular motion, focusing on areas of dry skin.
