Cutera Collaborates with Homeboy Industries

Cutera partnered with Homeboy Industries, the largest gang rehabilitation and re-entry program in the world, to empower former gang members to reclaim their lives. For more than 30 years, Homeboy Industries in LA has offered community, love, and kinship to more than 10,000 former gang members annually. In an effort to make positive change in these men and women’s lives, Homeboy Industries provides services such as parenting classes, anger management, and tattoo removal to support their re-entry, and as they integrate back into their families and the workforce, with confidence and stability. Cutera donated an Enlighten Laser to Homeboy Industries’s Tattoo Removal Clinic along with clinical training and service to aid community members who need tattoo removal to get back on their feet. “Homeboy Industries’s mission, rehabilitation programs, and community support is what Cutera is extremely passionate about,” says Michael Karavitis, EVP and chief technology officer at Cutera. “Homeboy Industries's population needs tattoo removal for various reasons that includes as first priority removal of the most visible, those tattoos that may alter the course of a job interview, hinder employment, prevent a return to high school, is a sex traffic branding and a painful, emotional tag and scar. At Cutera, we want to provide these men and women with a second chance by creating a clean slate - literally.”
