Cynosure Launches TempSure Surgical RF Technology in North America

The FDA has approved the TempSure Surgical RF technology in North America. The device, created by Cynosure, which is a division of Hologic, helps medical-spa professionals perform both surgical and non-surgical treatments. TempSure Surgical RF is used for plastic surgery, dermatology, gynecology, and ophthalmology.

The RF technology uses a 300-watt and 4-MHz radiofrequency system, which allows for shorter recovery periods. “We’re continually innovating to ensure our customers set themselves apart with effective and diverse treatment offerings, and this enhanced platform is a game changer across specialties,” says Kevin Thornal, Hologic’s division president, Cynosure.

“The cutting-edge technology of the TempSure platform will now allow doctors to transition seamlessly from invasive to non-invasive treatments on one device.” TempSure Surgical RF is an enhancement to TempSure’s radio frequency program, which runs with the overarching TempSure Envi device.
