The Skin Saint Predicts the Top 2020 Med Spa Trends

According to Holly Cutler, also known as The Skin Saint, and founder of Face Skincare, 2020 is sure to be a year full of new launches and popular treatments and techniques.

She predicts that exosomes will be among the newest stem cell breakthroughs, as they are used to rejuvenate and regenerate the skin and help to improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and age spots; boost hydration; reduce redness; smooth texture; minimize the look of pores; and more. Cutler also predicts that the Emtone will be among the most popular devices for the body, as it’s non-invasive and treats all factors that contribute to cellulite.

Hybrid lasers, such as the Halo laser and the innovative Splendor X laser for hair removal, will continue to dominate in the medical aesthetics fi eld as well as a new laser called AdvaTx, which addresses acne, fine lines, rosacea, broken vessels, redness, pores, and texture all in one visit without pain and with little to no downtime. Nano-needling and NeoGen PSR treatments are also expected to grow in popularity. Nano-needling utilizes nanotechnology to temporarily create micro-channels in the skin’s surface, allowing products and nutrients to penetrate deep into the dermal layer where collagen stimulation happens. NeoGen PSR is a breakthrough rejuvenation treatment that uses plasma to treat deep lines and wrinkles, elasticity, pigmentation, scarring, and more, all in one treatment.

“I have never seen anything, including surgery, that can treat elasticity, along with all other aspects of skin rejuvenation, and do it in one session,” says Cutler. “The downside is you will peel for about a week, but it is worth giving up our social lives for seven days to restore 15 years to our skin.”
