Two of the industry’s most respected brands have stepped up their partnership to continue to enhance the industry’s must-attend hosted buyer conference. SPATEC, known for its unmatched ability to pair qualified buyers with powerful wellness brands, will now be led by Julie Keller Callaghan, publisher/editor-in-chief of American Spa. She has worked closely with SPATEC for more than a decade.
Under Keller Callaghan's leadership, the American Spa editorial team will select highly qualified buyers to participate at SPATEC. The American Spa editors will also cultivate exciting educational opportunities, offer incomparable media exposure, and plan effective, fun, and inspiring networking opportunities. On site, the American Spa team will be present and available between meetings and during free time, so SPATEC delegates have the opportunity to share brand (and personal) news and updates and take part in engaging getting-to-know-you videos and social media opportunities.
Also joining the SPATEC team as the new director of sales, American Spa Events is industry veteran Maura Igoe. Igoe has more than 10 years of industry experience working with the International Esthetics, Cosmetics and Spa Conferences in New York, Chicago, Las Vegas, and Florida. In addition to SPATEC, Igoe will be heading up sales for American Spa’s Women in Wellness Conferences and the soon-to-be-announced American Spa CBD Summit.
“American Spa is excited to be taking its longtime partnership with SPATEC to an exciting new level, and with the addition of Maura to the team, it will be better than ever," says Keller Callaghan. "I have known Maura for more than 20 years as a colleague and a friend. She is an impressive sales leader who is beloved and respected in the industry. I cannot think of a better person to round out our stellar team, and I can’t wait for her to share all of the amazing options we have available with our partners.”
SPATEC is the original innovator and leader in the hosted buyer space. The focus is to provide one-on-one meeting forums in the spa and wellness arena that are intimate, results-oriented, and carefully orchestrated to deliver maximum results for participating suppliers and buyers. The events are expertly managed by a team that has the skills and experience to produce events that are compelling, productive, and yet enjoyable experiences where real business is done.
“I am thrilled to be starting a new journey," says Igoe. "The only way to do great work is to love what you do, and I love the spa and wellness industry. I am so excited to be joining Julie and her fantastic team.”
SPATEC Spring's next event takes place May 19-22 at JW Marriott Turnberry Resort and Spa. American Spa's Women in Wellness Leadership Conference will take place March 12 at Edison Ballroom in New York City. Tickets are available at www.americanspawiw.com.
