Last fall, we teamed up with the staff of Luxury Travel Advisor to launch the inaugural Global Spa and Wellness Awards. The awards were conceived to offer both domestic and international spa and wellness facilities the opportunity to earn international recognition for their accomplishments from a renowned panel of judges.
The editors of both publications were thrilled to have taken part in this program, both as curators of the idea and as judges. “This unique awards program was such an amazing endeavor for us as the leaders of travel and spa content creation in the market and we’re thrilled that the audience was so receptive to it,” says Julie Keller Callaghan, editor-in-chief and publisher of American Spa. “What a wonderful way to bring the emergence of wellness travel to the forefront. Congratulations to all the winners.”
“The growth of luxury wellness travel is staggering and is offering such incredible revenue opportunities for not only spas, but hoteliers, destinations, cruise lines and of course, travel advisors,” says Ruthanne Terrero, vice president of content and editorial director, Luxury Travel Advisor. “I couldn’t be more thrilled with this partnership, the results of the program, and all the positive feedback we’ve received from the marketplace.”
Winners and runners-up will be featured in a special article in the April edition of American Spa and Luxury Travel Advisor’s May issue. In addition, content will be shared on both magazine’s online portals and social media channels. Plus, each winner will receive a branded icon they can use to display their achievement in their email signature and on their websites.
