Following a successful launch at America’s Beauty Show earlier this year, Cidesco Skin Care and Cidesco Body Therapy Certificates will soon be taught at cosmetology schools throughout the U.S. Bellus Academy (Poway, CA) is the first school to receive approval from Cidesco USA to integrate the programs into its esthetics curriculum, though several additional schools have applied for approval to offer the programs.

The Cidesco Certificate in Skin Care curriculum is a 730-hour course that offers education in facials, facial electrical treatment, and full-, day-, night-, and bridal-make up. The Cidesco Certificate in Body Therapy is a 565-hour course which offers education in body analysis, pre-treatments, body electric treatments, and full body massage.

“With these Cidesco Certificates, America’s estheticians can achieve a higher level of learning, as well as become affiliated with a worldwide peer-accreditation society,” said Paul Dykstra, CEO of Cidesco USA. “We are delighted to have the renowned Bellus Academy as the first American cosmetology school to offer a Certificate program and we know many more will soon follow. What’s more, some of the Certificate education can be applied to the review hours estheticians need in order to sit for the prestigious Cidesco Diplomate Examination.”

The new certificates were developed in response to the changes and needs that Cidesco International president Anna-Cari Gund saw developing within the global spa and beauty industries. Cidesco plans on continuing to create new ways to achieve both Cidesco Certificate and Diplomate status for American estheticians.
