A new educational app for aspiring and working professional makeup artists has hit the market. MedixBeauty, available on both Apple iOS and Andriod platforms, is designed to provide professionals a variety of tips and tricks about makeup, including how to apply it, behind the scenes industry secrets, and more.

The app collaborated with a number of high-profile names from within the beauty and makeup industry to create subscription based channels of knowledge, including backstage loopholes, extravagant techniques, and advice from industry-leading makeup artists. Each makeup artist has a channel that users can subscribe to on the app for $2.99 per month. The MedixBeauty team is developing content 24/7, including regular updates to ensure that every tutorial is fresh, relevant, and on trend. Additionally, end-users will be able to connect with the artists directly, ask questions and requests specific techniques and looks.

"We created a program that evens the field for anyone to quickly get insight, education and guidance from today's stars in the makeup industry," says Michelle Shaffer, CEO of MedixBeauty.

The starting lineup of artists working with MedixBeauty include James Vincent, Danessa Myricks, Jasen Kaplan, AJ Crimson, Orlando Santiago, Jeremy Dell, and Sahara Pasha, with more makeup artists scheduled to appear on the app throughout the end of 2017 and into the new year.

“I’m extremely excited to be able to share my knowledge through a medium that allows me to reach more people faster,” says James Vincent, director of education and artistry, The Makeup Show. “You can’t speak to everyone you want to one and one, and this app allows myself as well as the other artists to connect and share collective experience and expertise with the people that follow us.”

The app will feature high-definition video tutorials produced by Shaffer at MedixBeauty’s newly designed production studio in Tampa, FL.
