Dermalogica Expands Product Development Lab at Global Headquarters

Research and development have always been at the core of Dermalogica, and now they are at the core of its global headquarters, too. The popular skincare brand recently announced the completion of its newly expanded product development lab, located at its global headquarters in Carson, CA.

To celebrate the grand opening, Dermalogica founder Jane Wurwand was joined by Aurelian Lis, CEO of Dermalogica, and Angela Murphy, Ph.D., Dermalogica’s vice president of technology and innovation, for a celebratory ribbon cutting ceremony and innovation event with Dermalogica staff and professional skin therapists. At the event, the brand also launched its new BioLumin-C Eye Serum, one of 17 new products Dermalogica released in 2019.

The lab will host in-house chemists and specialists to work across all sectors of Dermalogica product development, from creating and perfecting formulas, to using quality control to ensure product stability packaging compatibility, to managing clinical trials, regulatory affairs, and science education for Dermalogica’s training curriculum. The brand hopes the larger facilities will support Dermalogica’s commitment to innovation and product formulations that help skin professionals grow in their trade.
