Discover a New Way to Become a Certified Yoga Instructor

Gwenyth Paltrow’s former private trainer, Jolie Manza, and surfing pro, Rob Underwood, just launched their new yoga education program called YogaKoh. YogaKoh is a universal guide to the best workshops, yoga teacher training, and community of yogis from across the world.

Interested in becoming yoga certified? YogaKoh provides education to help students reach their greatest potential as a yoga instructor through a one month training course. The completion of this training guarantees students a 200-level certification which will, in turn, allow them to be internationally-recognized as a yoga teacher through Yoga Alliance. This course runs six days a week (Monday through Saturday) from 7am-5pm and begins with a two-and-a-half hour practice, covering asana, pranayama, and meditation. Students will also be given readings, write journal entries, read, and be given feedback and assessment.

YogaKoh goes international with its retreats in places like Montana, Bali, and Mexico. This coming June, their Montana retreat will be taking place at the Dancing Spirit Ranch in Columbia Falls. Yogis can book three different packages starting at $3,420, all including a full-body massage, day-adventure of white water rafting, and a day trip to the Glacier National Park.

“Koh” has been translated to English from a number of languages and meanings, including “island” in Thai, “mountain” in Hindi, and “assembly” in a few Indian texts. This accurately represents the love Manza and her team have for mountains and oceans uniting people. Other members of the YogaKoh team include yoga trainer Phoebe Waters, fitness instructor Lauren Koeppe, and yoga teacher Mel Pretorius.
