Inspired by native Mayan traditions, the new treatment menu at Naum Wellness & Spa at Andaz Mayakoba Resort Riviera Maya (Mexico) features a variety of services promoting health, beauty, and inner harmony. Curated by spa manager Daniel Escalante, the menu includes the following:
- Ritual Sac Ki ($269, 120 minutes) is designed to free the body of harmful toxins. It involves a dry exfoliation using Sac Ki, the Mayan word for white henequen, a natural fiber extracted from a species of agave. An invigorating massage with sacred copal oil is also included.
- Ritual de Ixi’im y Chia ($269, 120 minutes) exfoliates the body with milled blue corn and chia. The treatment features a massage with shea butter enriched with calendula extract from Body Bliss.
- Eternal Romance Ritual ($536, 120 minutes) is for couples and combines Swedish massage, hot stones, and the aphrodisiac power of clove essential oil and wild roses.
According to Escalante, the Naum Rituals were created to pay homage to oneself and the Mayan Gods and to find harmony based on the guest’s selected area of wellness intention, such as clarity (tsoolik), rest (he’lel), strength (muuk’), or connection (molcintah). Spa-goers can also choose from a selection of facials, massages, and body treatments using Babor and Naturopathica products.
“After seeing the success of our Naum Wellness & Spa in our first year of opening, we are excited to debut a completely refreshed menu for our valued guests," says Escalante.
