Get Away This Spring With a Hygge-Themed Voyage at Sea

SeaDream Yacht Club has announced a hygge-themed transatlantic voyage, planning to set sail from April 14 to April 27 of this year. Following a Norwegian concept of shared comfort—hygge—the 13-night cruise hopes to have guests explore the definition of hygge through food, wine, spa pampering, and entertainment experiences.

The voyage will depart from San Juan, Puerto Rico on April 14, and will stop at White Bay Jost van Dyke, British Virgin Islands, and Funchal, Madeira in Portugal. The voyage will conclude at Malaga, Spain on April 27.

Guests will have the opportunity to try hygge-inspired recipes, such as hygge chocolate petit fours. To make it interactive, guests even have the option of creating their own petit fours with guidance from SeaDream chefs. Attendees can also look forward to a wine tasting with master of wine Conal Gregory, who will select various vintage wines and cognacs from the SeaDream’s Dream Cellar. He will also assist in pairing the wines with food from the yacht’s menu.

SeaDream’s spa will offer guests sunrise yoga and tai chi sessions run by certified therapists. Along with that, there will also be Sisley Paris treatments, facials, detoxifying treatments, and aroma massages alongside open air private massage areas.

The yacht will also stage a live Cluedo experience where guests will solve a mystery as part of their own Nordic noir. Other experiences will include creating an Easter-hygge at home, fruit carving, tips on flower arrangements, and marzipan molds.
