Hyatt Unveils Caribbean's First Miraval Life in Balance Spa

Hyatt has announced the opening of the first Park Hyatt hotel in the Caribbean, Park Hyatt St. Kitts Christophe Harbour. But with the debut Park Hyatt property opening in St. Kitts comes another Caribbean first – the Caribbean's first Miraval Life in Balance Spa.

“We are excited by the opening of the Miraval Life in Balance Spa at Park Hyatt St. Kitts Christophe Harbour, the first Miraval Life in Balance Spa to open within the Hyatt portfolio since Miraval joined Hyatt," says Marc Ellin, global head of Miraval Group. “This spa integrates the essence of Miraval – an industry leader in the destination spa wellness resort category – into a breathtaking West Indian setting for an unforgettable luxury experience. Wellness and mindfulness are becoming increasingly important to our guests, and the opening of the Miraval Life in Balance Spa in St. Kitts is yet another way we demonstrate care for our guests.”

Miraval's third and newest property offers 37,752 square-feet of state-of-the-art spa facilities, including nine treatment rooms, three of which are couples' suites with private, heated plunge pools and outdoor showers. The spas entrance and reception area, featuring natural stone walls, showcase a view of Mount Nevis and overlooks the Rampart Pool and The Narrows, the straight that separates St. Kitts from Nevis. The Sugar Mill offers guests a 24-hour, 1,750 square-foot fitness center, as well as yoga and meditation experiences. At the conclusion of their day at the spa, guests will be treated to Miraval's signature tea, created with a fusion of local herbs including lemongrass, basil, and thyme.

“We are excited to debut the Park Hyatt brand experience on this incredible island that is brimming with rich culture, storied history, untapped adventure and pristine beaches,” says Myles McGourty, senior vice president, Latin America and Caribbean, Hyatt. “Our discerning global guests will be welcomed with personalized service and contemporary elegance surrounded by sophisticated design, world-class artwork, the finest culinary expressions and Miraval’s deep-rooted expertise in wellness.”

Miraval Arizona Resort & Spa debuted in Tuscon, in 1995. The first Miraval Life in Balance Spa opened nearly 20 years later at Monarch Beach Resort in Dana Point, CA, in 2016. Hyatt acquired the Miraval Group in January of 2017, followed by the acquisition of the Exhale wellness brand in August of the same year.
