ISPA Advocates for Spa Industry Amidst COVID-19 Coronavirus Pandemic

The International Spa Association (ISPA) has been advocating for spa professionals throughout the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic. As congressional leaders negotiated the terms of the recent $2 trillion Coronavirus stimulus bill, which was signed into law by President Trump last Friday, ISPA sent letters to members of Congress to insist that the spa industry be accounted for in the bill due to the immense difficulties that spas and resource partners have been facing during this crisis. Additionally, ISPA collaborated with the Professional Beauty Association (ProBeauty) in support of their efforts to contact Congress members. In support of the industry, ProBeauty is also offering complimentary PBA Preferred memberships—which, among other benefits, grants access to ProBeauty’s insurance marketplace—to licensed service providers and non-licensed salon employees.

ISPA has also created COVID-19 resources page, which covers everything from IRS updates to small business loans to state closures.
