The Massage Therapy Foundation is Searching for its 2018 Boston Marathon Runners

While the big NYC marathon has just finished for the year, the Massage Therapy Foundation (MTF) is searching for qualified runners for the 2018 Boston Marathon. The John Hancock Non-Profit Program has granted the MTF four invitational entries (or bibs) to the 2018 Boston Marathon, and the foundation is looking for four qualified runners to be a part of Team MTF-Running for Research.

"We are excited for the opportunity to participate once again in such an amazing program," says MTF president Jerrilyn Cambron. "We had an incredible team last year, and I am looking forward to finding out who the 2018 runners will be.”

The John Hancock program has been the principal sponsor of the Boston Marathon for the last 32 years. Each year, the non-profit donates guaranteed running spots in the Boston Marathon to select non-profits, which then recruit runners to raise money for their causes. Participants who ran on behalf of more than 200 non-profit organizations in 2017 raised $34.2 million for charity. The fundraising total had a twelve percent increase, $3.6 million, over the 2016 results.

The 2016 Team MTF-Running for Research runners included Colette Wilson, Christine Bailor-Goodlander, Vincent Dufort, and Jodi Newman, pictured above from left to right. The team raised over $61,000.

Interested participants can apply via the Massage Therapy Foundation website. The application deadline is Friday, November 17.
