News from Canyon Ranch: A New President and an Expanded Esthetics Program

There has been some big news out of the Canyon Ranch community recently. First, the brand announced that Thomas Klein, Canyon Ranch’s COO, will take on the additional role of president of Canyon Ranch. Second, the brand announced the expansion of its signature CR Aesthetics to the brand’s two wellbeing resorts.

Klein was brought onto the Canyon Ranch team in April 2016 as COO, and brought more than 35 years in the wellness industry with him. “I joined this company 18 months ago looking for a new chapter with tremendous growth potential as well as the opportunity to impact the lives others and I have found that with Canyon Ranch,” says Klein. “I am thrilled to take on this expanded role as this cherished and respected brand continues to prosper and evolve.”

Klein’s colleagues, like Susan E. Docherty, the Canyon Ranch CEO who brought Klein to the team “Since coming on board, Tom has been instrumental in the seamless transition from a closely held family business to the thriving future of Canyon Ranch,” says Docherty. “He continues to play a vital role in creating a solid and seasoned senior leadership team, securing world-class talent for key positions.”

In this new role, Klein will continue to direct all operational aspects of the company businesses, while also working collaboratively with the senior leadership to move the brand into its next chapter of growth.

The expansion of CR Aesthetics was announced shortly after the news on Klein was released. The announcement was made on the heels of piloting a successful esthetics program in Canyon Ranch’s At Sea division. CR Aesthetics will launch at the brand’s flagship property in Tucson, AZ, first, followed by the introduction of the program at the second Canyon Ranch property in Lenox, MA.

“Canyon Ranch is constantly evolving to bring our guests a comprehensive integrative wellness experience,” says Canyon Ranch CEO Susan Docherty. “The progression of bringing CR Aesthetics from sea to land was a natural development for our brand as we continue to advance in the industry – allowing us to further our wellness mission, help our guests feel like their best selves and drive greater confidence.”

The program offers a curated selection of advanced, nonsurgical facial treatments, partnered with pre- and post-care treatment opportunities. CR Aesthetics uses high-end skincare products and gold-standard nonsurgical procedures including Botox, Juvéderm, and Latisse. CR Aesthetics will also provide clients with personalized skincare teams to provide tailored services for each guest, along with recommendations for continued care at home.

CR Aesthetics Tucson will be overseen by the resort’s recently appointed medical director, Jerry Olson, M.D. Amy Henderson, lead esthetics registered nurse, will direct the daily practice of CR Aesthetics Tucson. The program will be available in Tucson starting November 15, and interested clients can already make appointments via phone. The offering will be available at Canyon Ranch’s Lenox location in the near future.
