Paul Schmidt is the new director of sustainability and new partnerships of the Arizona Spa and & Wellness Association. Prior to this position, Schmidt worked as the director of the Green Spa Network.
Throughout his career, Schmidt has worked towards supporting solutions for environmental and personal vitality. He has also designed and operated two wellness centers, built curriculum for the Utah College of Massage and Eagle Gate College, provided thousands of spa services, directed spas in North American and Bermuda, and more. Schmidt’s experience and entrepreneurial spirit are among the reasons why the Arizona Spa & Wellness Association sees Schmidt as a great addition to the industry.
Part of Schmidt’s responsibility in his new position is to expand the association by creating new sustainability initiatives and expanding partnerships. He will gather valuable information to encourage conversations between spa-sustainability, wellness construction, LEED and WELL-information and program development.
Schmidt has previously been involved with the Arizona Spa and & Wellness Association and attended its first annual conference at the Royal Palms.
