Acuity Scheduling, an online appointment and booking platform in the health and wellness space, has joined the Squarespace family of brands. The acquisition will allow Squarespace customers to utilize Acuity Scheduling options on their Squarespace sites. The acquisition marks the first of its kind for Squarespace.
Founded in 2006, Acuity supports more than 50,000 businesses in the wellness realm and beyond, though the brand is not entirely new to Squarespace. The two have had an integration with Squarespace’s page-building platform for a number of years, allowing the two brands to collaborate. Through the acquisition, the two brands will be able to better integrate their product lines as Squarespace has done with its commerce and marketing tools to enable an all-in-one business model and a complete suite of integrated tools for its clients
In addition to the acquisition, Squarespace has released several updates to its native email marketing product, including new editing tools, an enhanced analytics panel, and automatic list maintenance. It’s also introducing tools to schedule and automate campaigns such as newsletters and promotions.
