Grant Lessard Appointed Spa Director of Well & Being Spa

Grant Lessard was recently appointed as the spa director of Well & Being Spa at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess (AZ).

Already a member of the spa’s executive committee, Lessard brings with him more than 30 years of experience in industry management to the resort. Lessard’s new position will include daily spa operations oversights, collaborating with the management to ensure guest experiences, and boosting local membership through new marketing strategies and promotions. Lessard will work with employees hands-on to train them and use his industry knowledge from background in clinical massage therapy. He will also work with the brand to update the menu and programming to follow wellness trends.

Lessard previously worked as the director or spa, retail, and fitness in Puerto Rico at Spa Botanico at Dorado Beach, a Ritz-Carlton-Reserve. He taught and directed at the Wellington Institute of Remedial Massage Therapy (Winnipeg, Canada), the Cortiva Institute (Scottsdale, AZ), and the Minneapolis School of Massage and Bodywork. He also served at the Frederique Academy at Elemis Spa in Hong Kong as a guest instructor.

Lessard graduated from the Western College of Remedial Massage Therapies in Canada, where he completed over 3,000 hours of training and earned professional studies in muscle energy technique, lymphatic drainage, craniosacral and myofascial release, and balance and flexibility rehabilitation, among others. He has worked in a variety of environments, including medical facilities, holistic health care centers, combined and private practices.

The hire was a collaboration between the Fairmont’s executive team and the management company, Trilogy Spa Holdings. Recently, the Well & Being Spa at the Fairmont introduced vertical wall yoga, singling bowl sound therapy, and REVIV nutrient wellness IV infusions. The spa also offers Bod Pod assessments, Float Fit workouts, aerial hammock yoga, and utilizes wellness coaches through its “Live It Well” program. The program is designed for clients to receive customized fitness and nutrition blueprints with skincare and other services.
