“We’re so glad to have Kyle [Treat], Sharon [Ogawa-Otaguro], and Justin with us to infuse even more vitality into the next generation wellness company that connects individual wellbeing to planetary health,” says Kevin M. Kelly, CEO of Civana. “Civana understands health and wellness is one interconnected system, or what we refer to as Wellness through Oneness.”

A contributing author at Mindful Eating, Macy brings with him more than 15 years of culinary experience and training under the guidance of spa cuisine innovators Cary Neff, Bill Wavrin, and Chad Luethje. The award-winning chef describes his cooking style as a fusion of various culinary flavors with influences from different countries, which is reflected in his frequent experimentations with various ingredient combinations and food presentations. In his new role, Macy will complement the current offerings at the resort with healthy dishes, like his favorite wasabi potato cake with pan-seared duck breast and cranberry Cajun barbecue sauce.

The Civana brand focuses on four wellness pillars— healthy cuisine, movement and fitness, spa’s healing arts, and human discovery and entertainment. Founded in 2017, Civana is one of the first platforms to tether together wellness programming, sustainable design, and hotel asset and property management to bring more attainable wellness experiences to a larger market.
