The Farmhouse Inn in Sonoma County, CA, recently opened the Wellness Barn, a new spa that offers a range of holistic experiences for guests that are inspired by the natural surroundings of the world-famous Russian River Valley. Under the leadership of new spa and wellness director, Irisha Steele, the 3,000-square-foot, three-treatment-room Wellness Barn is housed in a beautiful open-air, horse stable-inspired structure built in 2014. With wide shutters, tall ceilings, stable doors and custom equestrian drawings, the Wellness Barn brings the outdoors inside, with outdoor spaces off of each treatment room where guests can shower or lounge following their services.
Specialty treatments include:
- Gem + Stones:Warm basalt stones and cool gemstones glide together in a therapeutic tailored massage. The expansion and contraction from the heat and cold provide unique healing benefits to release tension patterns, reduce inflammation, and balance our happiness hormones.
- The Skin You’re In: This full-body exfoliation with the seasonal body polish, an alfresco shower, and a tailored massage leaves skin feeling refreshed and renewed.
- Spirit Path: The hypnotic song of pure quartz singing bowls, personalized energy balancing, and potent Marma points on the face, head and scalp are woven into a curative energy massage session.
- Nurtured by Nature: Sun-evaporated Pacific Sea salt renews and remineralizes, while wild mustard seed and healing clays purify and enliven during a warm wrap infusion. An alfresco shower is followed by a layer of coastal redwood mist and a tailored massage with a signature blend of Farmhouse oils and butters.
- Wellness Experiences: Private Yoga (this unique practice blends meditation, breathwork, and Vinyasa style yoga to start the day with ease, intention, and flow) and Sound Bath Meditation (this experience guides you into a deep meditative state using sound vibrations; helps to relieve mental stress, deepen relaxation, bring insight and clarity).
