A New Luxury Spa Opens in Sonoma Wine Country

After undergoing a two-year, $17-million expansion, Vintners Inn (Santa Rosa, CA) introduced 34 new Vineyard View rooms and suites and the 5,000-square-foot Vi La Vita Spa.

Accessible to both guests and locals alike, the spa features vaulted ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, and a natural design inspired by the 200-year-old heritage oak tree that resides outside the spa’s doors. “It has always been a dream of mine to bring a full-service spa to Vintners Inn,” says co-owner and CEO Rhonda Carano. “Vi La Vita, 'live life,' symbolized by the mighty oak tree, sacred and powerful, alive and energizing, is considered medicine tree of Mother Nature, bringing strength and purpose.”

With five treatment rooms and a secluded garden patio area, the spa is a relaxing retreat where guests can take advantage of locally sourced and botanically based skincare lines, such as Aromatherapy Associates, HydroPeptide, and Epicuren products. Says spa and retail director Alison Abbott, “Every finite detail of Vi La Vita Spa—from the style and intimacy of our spa treatments to our custom-mixed scents and carefully selected color palettes—is designed with the intention to provide our guests with an unrivaled relaxation experience.”
