This September, the Maldives became home to the InterContinental Maldives Maamunagau Resort, which features 81 beach, lagoon, and overwater villas and residences, all with their own private terrace and pool. The resort is the first InterContinental on the archipelago and is located at the southern tip of Raa Atoll, near the Maldives’ only UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve. It is also the first and only All-Club InterContinental offering.
One highlight of the contemporary Maldivian-designed property is Avi Spa and its six overwater treatment villas. There, guests can take advantage of in-house traditional Chinese medicine doctors and acupuncturists.
