The Polished Pub Offers Headicure Service

Natalie Lamorena, owner of The Polished Pub (Park Ridge, NJ), created the Headicure, a simultaneous service of getting nails done while hair is being blown out to help clients who have limited time for self-care. Combining the two services meant that blow dryers would have to be suspended from above each manicure station to allow the hairdresser to rotate around the guest without cords getting tangled. Dryers also had to be powerful and durable to dry hair quickly, which usually means a heaver dryer that’s harder to maneuver.  Lamorena used Freestylist dryers to offset dryers’ weight, rendering them weightless. This allowed her to hang the dryers from the ceiling alleviating the cord issue, as well as choose hair dryers based on the heat, power, noise level, ergonomics, motor, and reliability, rather than on weight. She chose Elchim 3900 Healthy Ionic Venetian dryers in rose gold to match the décor. “The color pink represents femininity and cheerfulness," says Lamorena. "I worked with award-winning interior design firm, Vanessa Deleon Associates, to create a space that’s perfectly pink combined with wood and flowers that’s chic, feminine, and modern. We want guests to feel completely relaxed and beautiful while they’re here."
