Whether it be sitting for prolonged periods or general wear and tear, it’s common for people to experience aches and pains caused by postural misalignments, which can also be caused by behavioral patterns, aging, and trauma. Fortunately, spa-goers can now seek relief from the tightness, discomfort, and pain created by these postural problems thanks to Structural Revival, a new wellness program at Kamalaya Koh Samui (Thailand). This program is designed to realign the body and improve posture to help reduce tension, rehabilitate injuries, and create optimum function and vitality.

After a comprehensive assessment by the spa’s team of physiotherapists, naturopaths, and other health professionals, the guest is treated to a personalized approach that addresses the underlying causes of their structural imbalances. “Over the years, we became aware that a growing number of our guests were experiencing pain, discomfort, and other symptoms related to physical misalignment, so we created the Structural Revival Program to help address this,” says Karina Stewart, cofounder of Kamalaya and master of traditional Chinese medicine.

“It gives guests an opportunity to really focus on their structural issues for a sustained period of time, long enough to create life-enhancing change. As well as improving muscular posture, correct structural alignment promotes healthy circulation, supports organ function, increases energy flow, and positively impacts our emotional and psychological wellbeing.”
