Discover The Key to Longevity with the Live Longer Retreat Telluride

Can one week really change a person’s life? That’s the premise behind the new Live Longer Retreat (starting at $4,500) led by renowned gastroenterologist Alan Safdi, M.D., and a team of wellness, nutrition, fitness, and bodywork experts.

Set at The Peaks Resort & Spa Telluride (CO), the retreat, slated for Sept. 23 to 29, gives wellness-seekers personalized, medically based ways to help prolong their lives and prevent disease. In addition to six nights of accommodations, the program includes a pre-retreat evaluation and wellness consultation; daily educational lectures, hikes, and activities with Safdi; daily personal training; meetings with a dietitian; yoga and Pilates instruction; interactive meals and cooking demos; a choice of massage or facial at The Peaks Spa; airport transfers; and post-retreat follow-up and consultation.

Participants can take part in classes and lectures on the unexpected risks of common medications, preventing some of the most common diseases associated with aging, and facts about vitamins and supplements, and more. “After 40 years of being a doctor and traveling to numerous countries to observe their healthcare systems, I realized our system is unfortunately based on the treatment of illness instead of disease prevention and quality of life,” says Safdi. “Education is the key to success, especially when it concerns your health. So, it was important for me to make sure all information at Live Longer Retreats are evidence-based and the participants will be taught to interpret the often misleading and dangerous claims they see in the media on a daily basis.”
