Sweet Inhalations at Miraval's Aroma Flow Yoga

While the benefits of aromatherapy are well known in the treatment room, they’re not often taken advantage of in the yoga studio. Seeking to change that, Miraval (multiple locations) recently launched Aroma Flow, which blends aromatherapy and healing yoga postures to balance the seven chakras and provide guests with a deeper and more meaningful practice.

Mindfully selected essential oils from Body Bliss are diffused to align the chakras and help spa-goers manifest physical, spiritual, and mental wellbeing. “As yoga is an essential part of the Miraval experience, we felt it was important to launch a deeper and elevated class in honor of National Yoga Month,” says Carl Pratt, vice president of programming at Miraval.

“Our newest practice, Aroma Flow, was designed to teach guests how using essential oils during their practice can increase its intended benefits. For example, a restorative yoga class may use lavender, rose, or clary sage to emphasize a calming and stress-relieving experience while a hot yoga class would be most beneficial with oils that are energizing and purifying, such as lemongrass and orange.”
