SESPAA Establishes Pillars for Education, Spas, and Vendors

Spa industry veterans Liliana Dominquez-Grajales and Alena Stavnjak recently launched the Southeast Spa Wellness Association (SESPAA) to extend a helping hand to wellness professionals throughout the southeastern region. Furthermore, with the introduction of its three pillars for spas, vendors, and education, SESPAA is building on its mission to provide resources to professionals during and beyond the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Spa Operations Pillar develops strategic goals that are integral to the day-to-day operations of a spa and offer resources that include Best Practices, Daily Checklists, Job Descriptions, Opening Manual, and SARS (COVID-19) Re-Opening Manual. The Vendor Relations Pillar supports the growth of mutually beneficial vendor relationships and strategic alliances, and the Education Pillar provides both members and non-members with CEU facilitated sessions, virtual tutorials, vendor platforms, and courses such as SESPAA Virtual Spa Operations and Management Courses, Continuing Education Courses for Massage Therapists & Estheticians and How to Elevate Your Spa Experience Through Medical Wellness.

“It was important for us to bring together all our experiences and knowledge and offer these as a resource for our industry,” says Grajales. “We wanted to build a foundation for growth in a wellness centric environment. The SESPAA Pillars are designed to be inclusive and support all levels of experience in our ever-evolving industry.”
