Earlier this year, the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and Equinox, a leading brand in the fitness industry, announced a new partnership to increase the education and career opportunities of ACSM's personal trainers. Through the expansion of their online learning platform, ACSM will offer continuing education credits from Equinox Fitness Training Institute (EFTI), such as courses and webinars taught by renowned instructors. In addition, newly certified trainers will have employment opportunities at any of Equinox’s locations.
The partnership aims to prepare their trainers, and after certification, students will be well-educated and prepared to enter the workforce.
Equinox offers a wide variety of services and products, such as strength and cardio training, studio classes, personal training, spa services and products, and more. The company employs qualified trainers that motivate their clients at every session, so a partnership with ACSM supplies them with hardworking trainers who are ready for the job.
“We empower our team with tools and education to reach their full potential within the industry,” says Joe Matarazzo, Equinox’s vice president of personal training operations. “Together with ACSM we are committed to providing trainers with opportunities to grow and take their careers to the next level.”
