This weekend, more than 500 properties in 80 countries across the globe will be celebrating the second annual World Wellness Weekend (W3), a two day event dedicated to committing to healthier, richer, and more fun lifestyles. In honor of the celebration, participants are encouraged to share their "welfies"—or, wellness selfies—on social media using the hashtags #Welfie, #BeActive #WellnessForAll, and #www2018.
One of World Wellness Weekend’s objectives is to remind people that while health is a relationship between your body and a doctor, wellness is also a responsible relationship between your body, your mind, and yourself. “There is no finer mission in life than to encourage as many people as possible to become the best version of themselves, in one’s body, mind, and mood” says W3 founder Jean-Guy de Gabriac, founder and CEO of Tip Touch.
Among the U.S. properties celebrating W3 are Glen Ivy Hot Springs (Corona, CA), which is offering guests a day of mindfulness through movement and the healing power of water with a myriad of special and complimentary services, and all four Langham Hotels & Resort properties, which are offering a number of complimentary, wellness-inspired treatments at its Chuan Body + Soul spas (multiple locations). A full list of participating U.S. locations is available on the W3 website.
If you're looking for a place to celebrate W3, check out the search tool on the World Wellness Weekend website, which is available in five different languages. Just enter the type of activity you're looking to do, and where you're located, and the search tool will alert you to the closest facilities to you that are celebrating W3.
Where are you celebrating W3 this weekend? Be sure to tag American Spa using #AmericanSpaMag on your welfies so we can see what you're up to!
