WebMD’s Nazario to Speak on Women, Health & Age at Women in Wellness Leadership Conference in NYC

A common sentiment among wellness professionals is that they are responsible for the health and wellness of their clients while often putting their own wellbeing on the back burner and not making it a priority. They are teaching wellness but not properly living it. Brunilda Nazario, MD, BC-ADM, the associate medical director and lead medical editor at WebMD, will be tackling this topic and more in her session, entitled “Women, Health & Age” at American Spa’s upcoming Women in Wellness Leadership Conference.

As women age, they face certain health challenges that can impact their overall health and wellbeing. Whether addressing personal concerns or communicating with clients, wellness professionals have the unique opportunity to help facilitate lasting change for future health and offset the impact of things like hormonal change, stress, and more. From excess weight that can result in heart, lung, and hormonal disorders and even dementia in later life to shifting hormones that can impact both mental and physical wellbeing, this session will help attendees learn to identify warning signs for compromised health and give them tools to communicate the importance of maintaining healthy habits.

Nazario is the ideal speaker to communicate this message. She is a board-certified internist and endocrinologist, is board certified in advanced diabetes management, and is a diplomat and board certified with the American Board of Obesity Medicine. She is the past chair for The National Obesity Society, the Latin American Association Section. She has been a guest speaker for numerous organizations, including The American Heart Association, and is a regular contributor to various media outlets, including CBS radio and news, and publications such as Women’s Health, Readers Digest, The Evening News, Parade, Noticias Telemundo, and others. She is now completing a training program in Alternative Health and Integrative Medicine.

Nazario is one of several powerful speakers who will be headlining the second edition of American Spa’s Women in Wellness Leadership Conference, which takes place March 12 at the Edison Ballroom in New York City.
