Zenoti Gives Back to Spa and Wellness Community Amid COVID-19

Due to the nature of COVID-19, most businesses had to physically close and for those with the proper resources, move online. Smaller businesses have been hit the hardest throughout this time, with some even having to permanently close, but companies like Zenoti, a cloud-based salon and spa management software, have created grants and collaborated with charities to support struggling businesses.

Back in April, the brand launched the Zenoti Gives Back COVID-19 Relief Fund to support struggling beauty and wellness professionals who had been impacted by business layoffs, furloughs, and closings. Over 6,000 applications were received, which led to even employees of Zenoti to contribute almost $100,000 of their own money to the fund. Zenoti then matched these contributions, which resulted about 500 individuals receiving support across the globe. Employees were moved by the charity and put together a video message to express their support to the grant recipients. In response, some recipients replied back thanking the organization for their support and describing how much the grants have helped.

CEO Sudheer Koneru believes that it is times like these that bring light to those in need. “In this dark time for our industry, Zenoti employees around the world came together to bring some light to those in need,” said Koneru. “I'm incredibly proud of the generosity that our team showed towards many beauty and wellness professionals that are now struggling to pay urgent bills or put food on the table. It brings hope to our industry and shows that we will all come out of this stronger than ever."

Zenoti’s contribution and support continues on with the organization’s involvement with the U.K. charity Haircuts4Homeless. The organization sponsored a team of volunteers by supplying them with proper technology and materials to help those in need. They are also hoping to replicate the message and actions of Haircuts4Homeless by partnering with salon professionals in their own community-based charities in the United States.

It is during these times that large businesses and organizations need to take action and give back to those in the industry who need a little extra help. Zenoti hopes that its actions can bring some light to these trying times.
