CA Botana Founder Dieter Kuster Dies at 83

The beauty and wellness realm is mourning the loss of industry leader and founder of CA Botana Dieter Kuster, Ph.D., who passed away recently at the age of 83. Referred to by many as the “Einstein of emulsion technology,” Kuster developed over 4,000 products during his 50 years within the skincare and cosmetics industry.

A published author and scientist, Kuster was known for his investigative nature when developing and bettering formulas. He often conducted clinical trials and product testing before heading out into the field as an international lecturer to share his findings with the world. Most notably, his breakthrough achievement was the development of the acclaimed molecular penetrator alphasomes, an advanced delivery system used to increase product effectiveness. Other accomplishments of Kuster’s include the development of target-specific enzymes and superior peptide technology. His most recent venture was developing Molecular Botanicals, a cosmetic science, formulation, and consulting company for the cosmetic and chemistry industries that is still in the launching phase.

“Dr. Kuster's life was an authentic success story,” CA Botana said in a statement. “Time and again he triumphed over hardship and sorrow. His optimistic spirit and can-do attitude kept him moving forward in life and business in a positive direction. To his last day, he was smiling for he had achieved the American dream; He started with little and ended with everything. Dr. Kuster leaves behind an incredible legacy of personal and professional achievement. He will be missed, but not forgotten.”
