Set Sail Into Wellness with Mareel Wellness & Beauty

Cunard spa-goers can take advantage of the luxury cruise line’s new spa concept while cruising through Alaska.

Mareel Wellness & Beauty, a new spa concept for luxury cruise line Cunard and developed in partnership with Canyon Ranch, recently debuted a new offering for the line’s return to Alaska after two decades. The exclusive frontier-themed service, Journey Through the Wilderness ($295, 3 hours), is designed to release deep stress and tension as well as stimulate the immune system with a blend of native essential oils.

A highlight of the treatment is an application of Alaskan glacial mud from the Copper River Delta, which contains more than 60 nourishing minerals, and a private soak, overlooking the Alaska shoreline, in an oversized bathtub with organically sourced seaweed. The treatment concludes with a 50-minute facial. It definitely gives new meaning to the idea of frontier beauty.
